We will run a complete “UIL” experience which includes judges and comments. I  know the students are ready for this and will do well!!

We are offering the advance sales to parents from now through December 9^th.  The tickets will go on sale to the public on December 10^th.  We expect this concert to be sold out so please make sure to purchase your tickets ASAP!

As a reminder, the concert will be held on January 18, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Allen ISD Performing Arts Center which is located at 301 Rivercrest Boulevard, Allen, TX 75002. Parking is free!  Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for children age 12 and under. 

This is just a reminder that ticket sales are open on-line right now especially for our student’s parents who are performing that night.  Please  be aware that there will not be any tickets sold at the door the night of the performance. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Monday, December 10.  We encourage you to be early in your ticket purchase.   

Please arrive completely dressed in FULL UNIFORM. This includes black shoes, socks/hose etc.

Tuxes – Tuck in your tux shirt. Put the cummerbund around your waist to cover the waistband of pants. The bow tie needs to loop through the small loop at the back of the neck on the shirt then under the wing tip of the collar. The black plastic studs should be used instead of the white buttons.

5:25        Chamber arrive at MHS Orchestra room. Grab your instrument in cases and go to the stage. Uncase backstage NEATLY!!!
5:30        Chamber Orchestra rehearses on stage. Roll will be checked at this point
5:40        Concert/Symphony Arrive at MHS Orchestra room. Grab your instrument in cases and go to the stage.  Uncase backstage NEATLY!!!
5:45        Concert & Symphony Orchestra in the audience in the front seats – roll will be checked at this point.
6:00        Symphony rehearses. Chamber students are not to leave but sit in the audience politely.
6:00        BEFORE CONCERT BEGINS – OFFICERS, ALL CITY and REGION students will take a Group Picture (TENTATIVE)
6:10        Symphony / Concert combined rehearses. Symphony & Concert sit in front of Auditorium.
6:50        Symphony & Concert move backstage & prepare to enter stage. Celli first followed by bass, viola, violin 2 & violin 1. Soo Bin will remain back stage to act as Concert Master.  Chamber moves to auditorium and sits in assigned seats. Celli & Bass in front.
6:55        Concert & Symphony move on to stage:         Celli first followed by bass, viola, violin 2 & violin 
6:55         Quartet/Quintet moves to side area set up to play before concert and during set changes.
7:00        House Lights down, concert begins.

As a fundraiser for the Orchestra we are selling Winter Concert (and Fall Concert) DVD’s for $15. The proceeds go directly to the orchestra program to help offset the cost of trips, tux shirts etc…. The DVD’s are ready to go at any time. I already have them copied, labeled and in a case. They are just waiting for a home.

I will put up smaller (lower quality) videos of the concert at a later date on our video/pictures gallery page as well as our youtube and facebook pages. There is a short video already on our website that our videographer took of the stage tear down. It’s 1 minute of fun!
